i received a ping for this offering and i am truly so excited to share this with all of you. the eleven forty club is a place to come together in community for 11 minutes over 40 days where we will commit to a kundalini breathwork practice together. with all the craziness happening around us, it is so important to build community places to come together. my love for breathwork knows no bounds and i wanted to create a virtual space where we will come together to do breathwork kriyas for 11 minutes a day, over 40 days. your breath has the power to create potential, mindfulness, joy, clarity, build immunity, de-stress and access self mastery. you can break patterns, clear subconscious blocks & fine tune your intuition—all by using your breath.

what is the eleven forty club?

in kundalini yoga, kriya’s are practiced for certain minutes/days. it takes as little as 3 minutes for the kriya to affect your aura and your circulation. it takes your blood about one minute to travel around the body, so 3 minutes ensures its effects at a cellular level. 11 minutes is when you start to affect the nerves and your glands. 22 minutes brings a balance between the negative, positive and neutral minds. it is said that it takes 40 days to change a habit. during 40 days, the meditation will sort through any thoughts or patterns that limit your potential. we all can make 11 minutes a day to commit to a practice over a 40 day period. join me where we will use 11 minutes a day to override our nervous system, pave the way to positive change while in community with one another.

why 11 minutes? why 40 days?

the first eleven forty club sadhana is…

the breath of ten meditation to become dis-ease free.

this meditation looks very simple, but is said to tune your biorhythm and magnetic field. It works to trigger the command center and ask your immune system to wake up.

Breath of Ten is similar to breath of fire, working towards a disease-free body, enhanced intuition, and an absolutely meditative mind. It requires practice. When originally taught, it was said that if this exercise is done for 11 minutes, it puts the entire chakra system in rhythm. 

The kriya

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine.

Mudra & Movement: Your elbows are bent and your forearms and hands are relaxed in a clapping position at the level of the solar plexus. Your hands move in and out as if you are clapping but they do not touch. Stop the inward motion when the hands are about six to eight inches apart. Move slowly and rhythmically.

Focus: Concentrate on the energy you feel between the palms of your hands.

Breath: The breath is timed with the movement of the hands. Each stroke of the breath is one complete clapping motion (hands move in, hands move out). Inhale in five strokes through the nose as you complete five complete clapping motions. Then exhale in five strokes through the mouth as you complete the next five clapping motions. Continue and do not break the rhythm of the movement and the breath.

when do we start?

this first round of 40 days will begin on saturday march 29th, the day before neptune shifts into aries—a major astrological transit. we are also coming off of the spring equinox and the start of the new astrological new year, kicking off aries season. aries is a cardinal/fire sign. there is a lot of momentum, the energy is high, there is a sense of optimism and ambition when aries season starts. it is go time—we will meet live on mondays, thursdays & saturdays during this container and the rest of the days will be self practice. we will have a private instagram page to cheer each other on, check in on the days for self practice and marvel in the magic of what 11 minutes a day of breathwork will do for your life.
